Hello everyone, I wanted report a case book that I found in a stall and I found very interesting, the author is Guido Piovene, the title is "Process of Islam to Western civilization," Oscar Mondadori. In September of '55 a group of prominent Muslim intellectuals and Italian meet in Venice at the Cini Foundation, to discuss relations between the Islamic and Western civilizations. We are the leading scholars of Islam, Levi Della Vida, Bausani, Gabrieli, there is also the legendary Laura vetch Vaglieri! Across large Arab intellectuals such as Taha Hussein, Taqizadeh (Persian historian), Hassan Husni Abdul Wahab (Tunisian history), and many other lawyers, economists, etc.. In my opinion this book Piovene riesce ad essere un osservatore lucido e disincantato, che riporta fedelmente quelle che sono state le affermazioni e le idee esposte in quel meeting veneziano. Ve lo consiglio, ha solo 108 pagine quindi si legge in maniera fluida e gli argomenti trattati sono, secondo me, di estrema attualità.
